    Minns for accounting

The agents do the accounting. A partner signs.

For a practice: deadlines, chasers, onboarding with the AML trail, the VAT return, the year-end accounts, payroll and CIS dates, and a portal for every client. Built on the books, HMRC and Companies House. Nothing is filed without a named person.

    The workforce, this morning.

Each agent has one job and the systems it needs for it. What they are doing right now, on the example clients above.

    The board
Every client's statutory dates, from Companies House, HMRC and the books, with where each one stands.
    The work
Chases drafted each morning, records taken in from the portal, the VAT return and the accounts prepared from the books.
    The record
A partner approves against the figures they saw, and Minns keeps what was true when they signed: the approver, the figures and what the agent read. Filing goes through HMRC's MTD API and the receipt is kept.
    The use case

A weekday at the practice, in the order it happens.

One client's VAT quarter, from the eight o'clock job to the receipt from HMRC: what the agents did, what the partner approved, and what the client saw.

    1. 08:00The deadlines job runs
    2. 08:40A partner opens the board
    3. 10:15A client answers through the portal
    4. 11:30The return is prepared
    5. 14:05Approved by name, then filed
    6. 16:00The client sees it too

The whole of it, with what the firm needs to start and the questions a practice asks first, is on the accounting page.

Built for firms that answer to a regulator

The controls are part of the product.

    Named approvals

A filing, a payment, a message to a client: each waits for a named person, and the approval is checked against the figures and the page they saw.

    An audit trail

Every run is logged with what the agent read, what it did and who approved it. Status changes carry who and when.

Keys that never reach an agent

Bookkeeping, HMRC and Companies House credentials stay in the control plane. Card numbers are hidden wherever they appear.

    Figures from the engine

VAT boxes, the trial balance and the accounts are computed, not generated. A value the books do not hold is shown as missing.

We are looking for design partners

A few UK practices to run Minns on real clients and tell us where we have got it wrong. We set it up with you, on the demo company first. Nothing to pay for the first 90 days, and the price after that is agreed before anything is paid.
