The client portal

A portal for every client: their dates, what you need, and what is theirs to approve.

Each client's own people see the dates coming up and what the firm is waiting for from them, send records and receipts from their phone, ask the agent a question and get an answer from their own file, and approve the VAT return or the year's accounts that are theirs. They see their own business and nothing else.

    Why Minns

    Three things to know first.

Records arrive as the quarter goes
A receipt photographed when it is paid, a bank statement sent when it lands, a question answered when it is asked. The carrier bag in January becomes a quarter of small deliveries.
The client sees what you see
The same dates as the board, the same status, the same return the firm prepared. Nobody is surprised by a deadline, and nobody is asked for the same thing twice.
    Approval where it belongs
A return or a set of accounts is the client's to approve. They approve it in the portal, against the figures they see, and the firm files on that approval with its own.
    What a client can do

    Their side of the practice.

    • See the dates

Every date coming up for their business, as it is on the firm's board, with what the firm is waiting for before each.

    • Send records

Receipts as photographs, statements as files, from a phone or a laptop. Each lands on the client's file and moves the board.

    • Ask the agent

What do I owe, when are the accounts due, why did this figure move. Answered from their own books and board; a question that amounts to advice goes to the firm.

    • Approve what is theirs

The VAT return, the accounts, a proposal: approved by name in the portal, against the figures shown, before the firm files.

    • Read the pack

The plan, the forecast and the month's pack from the advisory work, where the firm shares them.

    • Nothing of anyone else's

A client sees their own business. The firm's other clients, and the firm's own notes and chase counts about them, never cross over.

    Opening the portal

From the invitation to the first approval.

    1. 01

The firm invites the client's people

By email, from the client's page. Each person signs in as themselves.

    2. 02

      They see their dates

The board's view of their business, and what the firm is waiting for.

    3. 03

      Records come in

Photographed, uploaded or answered, as the quarter goes. The agent explains the bank lines and asks about the ones it cannot.

    4. 04

      The return is prepared

The client sees it in the portal with the figures, and approves it as theirs.

    5. 05

      The firm files

On the client's approval and its own. The receipt shows in the portal too.

    Questions a practice asks first

    Straight answers.

Does the client need to install anything?
No. The portal is a web page; it works on a phone. The minns app is there for clients who want it.
Can several people at a client use it?
Yes. The firm invites each person; each signs in as themselves, and approvals carry the name of the person who gave them.
Can a client see another client's data?
No. Everything a client sees is about their own business. The firm's notes and the other clients never cross over.
    Who answers the client's questions?
The agent, from the client's own books and board, in the firm's voice. A question that amounts to advice is passed to a person at the firm.

Give your clients their side of the practice.

Invite one client to the demo portal and see the records come in. Then your own.
