An assistant that picks up the phone, so you do not have to.
Ask your assistant to ring the garage, confirm numbers with a venue or chase a delivery. It calls from its own number in a natural voice, says it is an AI, and tells you what came of it in the conversation you asked in. It answers calls to its number too.
A local number of its own, set up in the console. Calls carried by Twilio, the voice by ElevenLabs.
Call finished
Called Westway Garage
The van is ready. The bill is £412.60 including the brake pads.
They close at 5:30 today and at noon tomorrow.
I said you would collect before 5. They will have the keys at the front desk.
The report lands in the conversation you asked in, with a notification on your phone. Example names and figures.
The calls you keep putting off, made while you get on.
Tell your assistant who to ring and what to find out or arrange: book the van in, check an order, confirm 40 people for Friday. It dials and carries on; the call itself is a conversation of its own with whoever answers.
On the call it cannot stop to ask you or look in your diary, so everything it needs goes with it: the day, the time, the name to book under, what you will and will not agree to. If something needs your say, it tells them it will check and come back to them, rather than agreeing on your behalf.
- Every call opens by saying it is an AI assistant and that the call is transcribed.
- It never pays, or gives or takes card details, on a call. A booking that needs paying is left for you.
- It only calls someone who expects it or whom you asked it to call.
In the app
Can you ring Westway Garage and ask if the van's ready? It's in for the brakes.
Calling Westway Garage on 0161 496 0182 now. I will ask if the van is ready, what the bill comes to and when they close. If it is ready, shall I say you will collect today?
Yes, before 5.
Got it. I will tell you here how it goes.
What came of it, in a sentence or two, where you asked.
When the call ends, your assistant is told how it went and tells you in the same conversation: what was agreed and the details, or why it did not work and what it would try next. You get a notification on your phone. If you were talking to it by text, the report comes back there too.
If nobody answered or the line was busy, it says so and suggests trying again later or another way. What the other person said is their words, so nothing a garage or a venue says on the phone can steer what your assistant does next.
- Every call's transcript is kept on your assistant's Phone tab in the console.
- Calls come out of your credits by the minute, and the number by the month.
- With no credits left, calls are not placed or answered.

A local number that it answers, honestly.
Your assistant can have a local number of its own, rented on its Phone tab in the console. People who ring it hear a greeting first, then talk to your assistant. You can write your own greeting, but it must say the caller is talking to an AI; the standard one says that and that the call is transcribed.
Anyone who rings is treated as a member of the public. On an incoming call your assistant cannot look at your mail, your diary, your apps or what it remembers about you, and cannot be talked into sending or paying for anything. It answers from the instructions you have given it. It cannot put a caller through to you, and it does not take messages.
- Calls to the number are answered as soon as it is set up.
- Link your own mobile in the app to text your assistant, and reply yes or no to an approval by text.
- A call from your linked phone is still answered as public, then noted in your conversation for you.
A call to your assistant's number
Someone asks about opening hours
0:00
"Hello, you've reached Oakley Electrical's assistant. I'm an AI assistant, and this call is transcribed. How can I help?"
0:12
The caller asks when you are open on Saturdays. Answered from the instructions you gave it.
1:30
They ask to speak to you. There is no transfer: it says how to reach you, as your instructions say.
2:05
Goodbye. The transcript is on the Phone tab.
Fixed limits, whatever anyone says on a call.
Calling out is held to limits the platform keeps, not the assistant: numbers in your own number's country only, never premium rate numbers, at most 50 calls out in a day across your account, and no call longer than 20 minutes.
It calls when you ask it to: calls out are not held for your approval by default. If you would rather every call waited for you, set your assistant to ask before it changes anything, and each call is put to you before anyone's phone rings.
- Every call says it is an AI before the assistant speaks. The greeting is the platform's to keep.
- Premium ranges in the UK, such as 09 and 087, are refused.
- Each call carries what it is for, and you see that beside it on the Phone tab.

You ask

Call to Westway Garage
Today 11:38, 4 minutes
Hi, this is Oakley Electrical's assistant, an AI assistant. This call is transcribed.
Your assistant
I'm calling about the white Transit in for brakes. Is it ready?
Your assistant
Yes, all done. Pads and discs, £412.60 with VAT.
Westway Garage
Thank you. He'll collect before 5 today. When do you close?
Your assistant
Half five today, noon tomorrow. Keys will be at the front desk.
Westway Garage
Kept as it was said, beside the report.
What the other person says is their words: it informs the report, never your assistant's next move.
It does the work. You make the calls.
What the assistant may do on its own, and what only you, or someone you choose, may do.
The assistant may
- Call the people you ask it to, within the limits.
- Answer calls to its own number, saying it is an AI.
- Tell you how each call you asked for went.
- Keep a transcript of every call.
Only you may
- Give it a number, and release the number.
- Pay for anything a call arranges. It never pays or takes card details on a call.
- Choose whether calls out wait for your approval first.
- Write its greeting, which must still say it is an AI.
Straight answers.
- Will people know they are talking to an AI?
- Yes. Every call opens by saying so, and that the call is transcribed, before your assistant says anything of its own. A greeting you write must say it too.
- Can a caller get at my email or diary?
- No. Everyone who rings is treated as a member of the public: on the call your assistant has no access to your mail, diary, apps or what it remembers about you.
- Will it ask before it calls someone?
- Not by default: it calls when you ask it to. If you want every call to wait for your yes, set your assistant to ask before it changes anything.
- Can it put callers through to me or take a message?
- Not today. It answers from the instructions you give it, and the transcript of every call is on its Phone tab.
- Can it call abroad?
- Only numbers in the same country as its own number, never premium rate numbers, at most 50 calls out a day and 20 minutes a call.
Give your business an assistant.
Connect your mail, calendar and books in a few minutes. It works the way you do, and asks before it acts in your name.
