Your assistant on your phone, added to your home screen in a minute.
The Minns app installs from your phone's browser, with its own icon, its own window and notifications. What waits for your yes comes to you as a notification, and you read it in full and decide from the app.
Works on iPhone and iPad (Safari) and Android (Chrome). Nothing to download from an app store.
On your lock screen
Your assistant needs 2 decisions
Second reminder to Brightwell Ltd for invoice 1042, £2,480.
Friendly reminder to Hale Homes for invoice 1037, £960.
Several requests from one assistant arrive as one note, not one buzz each. Example names and figures.
From your browser to your home screen, no store involved.
Open Minns in Safari on an iPhone, or Chrome on Android, sign in, and add it to your home screen. From then on it opens like an app: full screen, with its own icon.
Because it is the Minns web app, it is always the current version. When you come back to it after an update it reloads itself, unless you are partway through writing something, in which case it waits and offers the update instead.
- The number on the icon is what is waiting for you, where your phone shows badges.
- On Android, press and hold the icon for a shortcut to Waiting for you.
- Sign in with the same account you use on your computer.

Adding Minns to your home screen
1
Open Minns in Safari and sign in.
2
Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
3
Open Minns from its new icon.
4
Go to You and turn on notifications.
On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work once Minns is on the Home Screen. On Android, Chrome offers to install it.
A tap on the shoulder for what needs you, not for everything.
You choose what reaches your phone in three plain groups. What needs you: an approval, a sign in, credits running low, a deadline. Problems: a job that failed or keeps failing. Finished work: a job done. The first two are on until you turn them off; finished work is off until you turn it on.
When your assistant asks for several things at once, they are gathered for a few seconds and sent as one note, and a later note replaces the earlier one rather than piling up. Everything still lands in the app's inbox, whatever you choose for your phone.
- Tap a notification and the app opens on what it was about.
- Each phone and browser you turn notifications on for is listed under You, so you can tell them apart.

Pick up on your phone where you left off at your desk.
The app holds the same conversations as Minns on your computer, and the same inbox of things waiting for your yes. Ask a question on the train and the answer is there when you sit down.
Approvals are read in the app, not in the notification: you see what will happen, in full, before you decide. If you have also linked WhatsApp, Slack or another channel, messages you send there land in this same conversation too.
- The note on your phone says what is waiting; the decision is made in the app.
- Deciding in one place settles it everywhere else it was sent.

It does the work. You make the calls.
What the assistant may do on its own, and what only you, or someone you choose, may do.
The assistant may
- Send you a notification when something needs your yes, or something went wrong.
- Gather several requests into one note.
- Show the number of things waiting on the app's icon.
Only you may
- Install the app and allow notifications on your phone.
- Choose which kinds of notification reach you, or turn them off.
- Approve or refuse, in the app, after reading what will happen.
Straight answers.
- Is it in the App Store or Google Play?
- No. It is the Minns web app, added to your home screen from your phone's browser. It opens and behaves like an app, with notifications, and it is always the current version.
- Why are notifications not working on my iPhone?
- On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work once Minns has been added to the Home Screen and opened from there. Add it, open it from the icon, then turn notifications on.
- Can I approve straight from the notification?
- No. A notification opens the app on the thing it is about, so you read what will happen in full before you decide.
- Will my phone buzz every time a job finishes?
- Not unless you ask it to. Finished work is off by default; what needs you and problems are on.
