What you send in Slack lands in your conversation in Minns.
Once you have linked, a direct message to the bot is a message in your own conversation with your assistant, marked as sent from Slack. It knows what you said in the app this morning, and the app shows what you asked in Slack.
It acts for you, with your access and your memory, as it does in the app. If you leave the business's Minns account, or can no longer use that assistant, messages from your Slack stop reaching it.

Each can be unlinked from the same place.
Write from Slack and the news comes back to Slack.
The last place you wrote from is where your assistant answers. Ask in Slack and a job that finishes later, a scheduled result or a note of a call it took comes back to your Slack direct message too. Write in the app again and they stay in the app.
When something needs your yes, the notice comes to your direct message with two links, one to approve and one to reject. Each works once and lasts 72 hours, and deciding anywhere settles it everywhere.
- Approval notices only ever go to your own direct message, never a shared channel.
- Turn approval notices on messaging channels off in your settings if you prefer the app.
- Phone notifications carry on as before, wherever you wrote.

Connect Slack to Minns
An owner or admin connects the business's Slack in Minns, or you connect your own.

Get a code in the app
Open your assistant in the Minns app, choose Use it in other apps, then Slack. It shows a code that works once, for 10 minutes.

Send the code to the bot
In a direct message to your account's Slack bot, send link and the code, for example link ABCD-EFGH.

From then on, your direct messages reach your assistant in your own conversation.

- Not as you. A link ties one Slack account to one person, and only the person who got the code from the app can make it.
- Does it read our Slack channels?
- Linking Slack lets you message your assistant in a direct message. This page is about that, not about reading your channels.
- Can I approve with a button in Slack?
- Not yet. Approval notices in Slack carry two single-use links, approve and reject, which work for 72 hours. In Microsoft Teams you get a card with buttons.
- Do I still get phone notifications?
- Yes. Replying from Slack changes where answers go, not your phone notifications.
